Aspen Ladd's experience in combat sport began when she was 14 years old. She was a boxer, fighter in kickboxing wrestling, BJJ, and other sports before making her amateur debut at age 18 in WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on the victory she scored during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought for three straight wins. She dominated all her competitors in the initial round. Following that Ladd went on to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking her revenge on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen in the fight, beating Cynthia by a majority vote. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd rebounded from the loss to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Aspen faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and beat her for a 1st-round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first match with a bantamweight. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen was dominant McGill through her grappling and ended her fight in the third round with a TKO. Aspen had to face Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy using an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd did not make the weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy up to the point where she ended her fight with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion in a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came at UFC Fight Night 118 when she was up against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina, and used ground-and-pound to take the win via TKO in the second-round. Her dominance grew and she scored an impressive win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger in the very first round and earned a reward for the performance of the night. Sijara Eubanks, a member of Invicta FC, was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first big fight. Both the fighters put on an intense battle that concluded with Ladd beating her opponent by a unanimous vote and both fighters receiving their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak in less than 16 seconds. in the 3rd round on UFC broadcast on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her place, she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
